Will Ten Hag allow Ronaldo to exit United? [Pulse Contributor's Opinion]

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has been exploring his next destination but then things have not just worked out as expected after being turned down by Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Many football faithfuls were shocked after his agent’s offers were turned down considering Ronaldo isn’t just an ordinary player.

United fans are hoping that Ronaldo will change his mind after he was spotted today morning with his agent headed to Carrington for a meeting with Manchester United officials. Fans should accept the end result of the meeting even if it will be heavy to bear.

Ronaldo is a performer even though age is catching up with him. Ronaldo missed all the four pre-season matches for United in which the team performed very well.

We can’t assume Ronaldo are well off without him based on the pre-season games but then the club should sign a forward to increase the squad depth. After the four pre-season games, it’s only Ten Hag who knows if he still needs Ronaldo or not.

In the recent past, he has rubbished rumors of the club offloading the talisman as he still sees him as a valuable player as his rebuilding reign begins.

Ronaldo is 38 years at the moment and he is always raring to go. This aspect in him has made him to be liked by many people as he is an inspiration to many. With the likes of Elanga and Sancho at Manchester United, Ten Hag should cling onto him for one more season just to show these upcoming kids how things are done on the pitch.

Ronaldo wants to play the Champions League football but he should dance for one more season with Ten Hag as the future is bright. Ten Hag has come with his own philosophies at United and the impact he is generating can be noticed easily.

Convincing Ronaldo to stay at the club should be his priority as he can really help him when it comes to scoring goals.

United missing out on the UCL should not stress Ronaldo; great things are yet to happen under the new regime. I think the United board will turn around things and Ronaldo will stay. Ten Hag will of course be happy if he does stay.
