Teniola Apata, better known by her stage name Teni, recently visited the United States and made the decision to visit a high-end jewellery shop to purchase a gold-crest watch.

She wanted to purchase a gold crested timepiece when she visited a premium jewellery store in the United States, but was told that it cost $29,500.

When the price was revealed, Teni was astounded to learn that it was $29,500 (N183, 584,000). She was certain that the jewellery store attendant was talking about $2,900 until he further emphasised on Twenty-Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars.

The vocalist expressed astonishment and stated that she can spend the money to purchase pieces of land in Lekki, Lagos state.

Teni instantly instructed the salesperson in the jewellery store to return the wristwatch because she was no longer interested in purchasing it.

Even yet, the celebrated performer offered him a warm hug to show that she was not mad at him for simply going about his business.
