A photo capturing the moment a group of church women were seen relaxing and drinking beer at a joint has caused a stir on social media.
The viral photo, which first surfaced on Facebook on Sunday, September 18 pictured women who are members of a Christian women’s Organization in Benue State in an unknown beer parlour after church hours.
The women who seem to be having a meeting, had bottles of their favourite beers by their side at the glare of other bar attendees.
The photo has since stirred reactions from internet users who slammed the women for drinking while wearing church uniform.
Martins Currency said “It’s wrong posting those women here I don’t just know what you are turning into. Is it wrong for them to have a relaxing time at your place, if eventually their husband or people of same Organization saw this, do you know the damages that will cause thereafter? Don’t be doing something like one who doesn’t reason,”
A Facebook user, Uba Shima said “Nobody stop them to drink but at least they should have respect the uniform they are putting on.”
“That uniform is meant for church activities not beer parlour activities,” he added.
Another Facebook user said: “Even those who forbids it still take it, just drink responsibly. Take one or two is okay.”
