Neymar: Chelsea poised to making move from PSG star following Lukaku exit

PSG Chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently failed to confirm the future of the phenomenal Brazilian attacker at the club, under the new proposed project that has seen a couple of exits and will see a couple of arrivals as well.

“Neymar part of the new project or not? We can’t speak about this in public as some players will arrive, some players will leave the club. These are private negotiations”, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was quoted to have said via Marca.

Although French publication L’Equipe, reported on Thursday that the Brazilian will be linked for another year to PSG when the option contained in his contract is activated on July 1.

However, sources in England see things much differently as per a report from Daily Star via Mundo Deportivo.

The Blues are no doubt looking for a quality replacement for the Belgian striker who failed to impress on his mega-money return to the London giants last campaign.

Most fans might consider the deal a step too far with a stumbling block being his hefty wages at the Ligue 1 giants.

It most likely would have been a different case if Abramovich was still in charge, as he could personally intervene to bring the Brazilian to England if he so wanted – Sadly, the Blues don’t have that option at the moment.

The Londoners new owners though, are understood to have the ears of coach Thomas Tuchel who wants to so baldy be afforded the chance to build his own team.

Tuchel previously worked with Neymar at PSG and the pair reached the finals of the 2020 Champions League even though, they narrowly lost the trophy to Bayern Munich.

That was however, the farthest PSG had ever reached in the competition’s history and Tuchel has previously stated his admiration for the Brazilian superstar.

Neymar might not currently be at ease in a PSG and that’s probably due to the fact that he has not performed at the expected level despite his impressive figures season in, season out.

He seems to be constantly criticized by the fans and not appreciated enough by the media as well.

This being a factor could push him to consider a move away from France and Chelsea would be a serious option considering the Blues wanted his signature in the past before opting to join Barcelona in 2013.

A switch currently, might be difficult to pull off but Chelsea remains one of the few European teams with the capacity to actually acquire his services this summer.
