Martin Odegaard & Oleksandr Zinchenko miss Arsenal’s trip to Brentford

From Gtech Community Stadium – Arsenal will be without club captain Martin Odegaard and summer signing Oleksandr Zinchenko for their trip to Brentford on Sunday.

The Gunners will return to the top of the Premier League table with a win against the Bees at lunchtime. They are currently two points behind Manchester City and Tottenham.

But Mikel Arteta is without two key men for the short journey across London as Odegaard and Zinchenko have been ruled out.

Both have been ruled out with knocks that are not believed to be serious and they are expected to be fit for the north London derby after the international break.

Odegaard has started the season in superb form after taking over the club captaincy, with Brentford boss Thomas Frank claiming his performances have been up there with Kevin De Bruyne’s. In his place, Fabio Vieira will start his first Premier League game.

Zinchenko has also impressed following his arrival from Manchester City over the summer, filling in at left-back but could be used as a midfielder this season due to Arsenal’s injury problems.

Brentford: Raya; Ajer, Jansson, Mee; Hickey, Janelt, Jensen, Dasilva, Henry; Mbeumo, Toney

Arsenal: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tierney; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Vieira, Martinelli; Jesus
