Is Erling Haaland playing today? Latest Man City injury news

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has needed to manage the fitness of some of his players with a hectic fixture schedule – but there’s one rather large problem in attack that has recently affected his side.

Erling Haaland came off at half-time during City’s 0-0 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, with the Norwegian striker suffering a foot injury.

He missed the trip to Leicester in the Premier League, with Guardiola admitting at the time that the club needed to run tests on Haaland to assess the extent of the damage, and the problem also ruled the 22-year-old out of the Champions League clash with Sevilla.

The question now is whether Haaland will be fit to face Premier League new boys Fulham, who have surprised many with their performances under Marco Silva.

“He’s much better, so we’ll decide today,” Guardiola said of Haaland in his final pre-match update.

“We have training this afternoon and then we’ll see. It all depends on himself, his opinion and the doctors opinion. It could be 90 minutes or less.”

Haaland’s return would be a huge boost for City, but they have capable options to come in and fill the void up top – Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden, potentially in a false nine role, just two of those available to Guardiola.
