Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane, has slammed midfielder Fred after the Red Devils’ FA Cup final 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday at Wembley.
Keane said Fred’s error in the build-up to Manchester City’s winner was the ‘height of stupidity’.
A brace from Ilkay Gundogan ensured Man City won their seventh FA Cup trophy after beating their Premier League local rivals Man United.
“Fred had Kevin de Bruyne where he wants him,” Keane told ITV Football.
“De Bruyne has his back to goal, and then Fred fouls him.
“It’s the height of stupidity… But we have seen that from him so many times over the years.”
