Even When They Told Me To Leave You, I Still Came To Your House To Beg

The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso was in Rivers State on Monday to commission a project carried out by the state government led by Governor Nyesom Wike.

Governor Wike invited Kwankwaso to inaugurate the Mgbutanwo Internal Roads in the Emohua Local Government Area of the state.

The Rivers State Governor during the inauguration promised to support Kwankwaso with logistics for his presidential campaign in the state.

This is coming days after Governor Wike pledged to support the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, with logistics for his campaign in the state.

Wike while speaking on Monday noted that he met with Kwankwaso to plead with him not to leave the party because he knew he was an asset to PDP in Kano State.

He said, “I remember when I went to meet you in your house in Abuja to plead with you not to leave the party (PDP) because I knew you were an asset to the party. Even when they told me to leave you alone, I refused.

“I have known you and I know you are a man of integrity so I want to say that whenever you want to campaign in Rivers State, I will provide you with all your logistics, just let me know when you want to come.”

Wike noted that he has more projects to commission before the end of his administration in 2023.

The Rivers State Governor said, “We just commissioned the ninth flyover last week and we will commission the 10th before the end of the year. We will also commission the 11th and 12th flyovers next year.

“I said I will turn Emuoha around, have I not done it? I brought the best construction company in Nigeria to construct this road.”
