EPL: I Didn’t Regret Joining Man United

Manchester United Announce Erik Ten Hag As New Manager, Reveals Why He Was Appointed

The manager of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag, has said he has no regrets about taking the job rather than waiting to be considered as Pep Guardiola’s replacement at Manchester City.

Ten Hag and Guardiola worked together at Bayern Munich from 2013 to 2015, and earlier this year, Guardiola suggested that Ten Hag might succeed him at the Etihad.

In the Manchester derby on Sunday at the Etihad, the 52-year-old and Pep are expected to face off directly against one another for the first time.

While the apprentice has already received a lot of praise from his former boss, he maintains he has no regrets about switching from Ajax to United in the summer.

“That’s a nice compliment. But I was 100 per cent convinced to choose Man United, with everything in it. I didn’t regret it for one second.

“I admire Pep Guardiola a lot because he is not only successful, he is doing it in a certain way that really attracts people to football—that is really a reward,” the Dutchman said.
