The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu on Thursday visited the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi.
The visit of the former Governor of Lagos State is coming after he visited Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo in Abuja.
Tinubu’s visit to Ebonyi State Governor is part of his move to reconcile all presidential aspirants who lost to him in the just concluded presidential primary of the ruling party.
The APC presidential candidate held a closed-door meeting with Umahi at his Abuja residence.
Recall that Tinubu also visited President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday alongside the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the presidential villa.
The Special Assistant on Strategy to the Ebonyi State Governor, Chuks Okoh quoted Tinubu as describing Umahi as “a dogged fighter who threw in everything during the contest and a man with proven track records and capacity to do well in any position.
“Umahi has become a rallying point for Igbo integration in the mainstream national politics.”
Umahi assured Tinubu of his support in the forthcoming presidential election.
