Youth ‘Rejects’ Gov Okowa’s Appointment, Supports Peter Obi

2023 Presidency: Peter Obi Has Little Experience, Can't Lead Nigeria – Okowa

A Nigerian man identified as Omenuwoma Josiah has allegedly rejected an appointment offered by the Delta State Governor and the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ifeanyi Okowa.

Josiah, in a post on his Facebook account, alleged that Governor Okowa on the 22nd of July appointed him as a Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization.

He, however, declined the appointment claiming that he intends to support the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Josiah further stated that it was a difficult decision for him to turn down the appointment.

He appreciated people that supported him on his decision and the ones that condemned him, the supporter of the former Governor of Anambra State called on people to respect each other’s choices.

Josiah who posted the declined letter on his page wrote, “I choose to be OBIDIENT and I have decided to remain actively OBIDIENT because I strongly believe that Nigeria will be better if Mr Peter Obi is President by 2023.

“I sincerely wish to thank His Excellency Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to have graciously offered me the opportunity to serve and I’m most grateful to my Caring Big Brother/Friend, Distinguished Leader, My great Supporter, and Father for having recommended me, influenced and facilitated the appointment, “Big Bros you don too show me love when I no fit forget”. However, It’s unfortunate it came at this time that I have actively engaged and Committed myself to the OBIDIENT Movement.

“I am so sorry that I have to decline the appointment, I would have loved to serve. This is a very difficult decision.

“I wish to also appreciate all those that supported me, those that criticized me (Constructively or destructively), those that were proud of me and those that we disappointed.

“Going forward, let’s respect each other’s decisions and choices as we work towards a better Nigeria. Let’s put the general interest of Nigerians first because the overall welfare and security of Nigerians are more important.

“God bless you all, God bless The Federal Republic of Nigeria. Happy Sunday, I love you all.”
