A TVC correspondent in Maiduguri, Jesse Tafida has reportedly lost his wife, Mercy IIiya, 12 days after their wedding.
According the LIB, the young couple held their wedding ceremony on Saturday, April 30th in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Family members and colleagues took to social media to mourn the passing of the new bride.
“What a life… Mercy Amarya ..so you are gone after 12 days of celebrating your wedding …I have been asking 1000 questions but I can’t find any answer to it. Jesse babana God comfort you and give you the heart to bear this unbearable lost. Am still at shocked!!!! May your soul rest in peace Mercy. Our Amarya is gone,” Amos Jesse wrote.
Meanwhile, a 52-year-old man identified as Kabiru Abdullahi has been arrested by the NSCDC for allegedly kidnapping and killing a five-year-old girl after collecting ransom from her parents in Narabi, Bauchi.
The suspect reportedly connived with one Alhaji Yawale to carry out his actions.
Nurudeen Abdullahi, state commandant of the the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, revealed that the suspects kidnapped the victim in front of their house and took her to a bridge where they strangled and put her into a sack.
They later took the body of the deceased to Kabiru’s kitchen and buried her there. Read more
