The Yobe State Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development, Hon Goni Bukar Aji has been confirmed dead.
Reports from Yobe indicate that the Sports commissioner died in an auto crash along the Potiskum Azare expressway on Tuesday night.
Hon Goni until his death, was also Chairman of Yobe Desert Stars and will be buried today Wednesday, in Damaturu the State capital.
Some sports journalists have taken to their WhatsApp platforms to mourn the late Goni Aji as they expressed sadness over his demise.
In other news, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, on Wednesday morning met with all Commissioners of Police and other senior officers in the country.
Naija News gathered that the meeting, which was conveyed as a result of the rising insecurity in the country, would map out strategies to combat criminals.
