Wike Gets Fresh Appointment From PDP, APC Kicks

The former Accountant-General of Rivers State, Fubara Siminayi has been announced as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

Fubara emerged as the winner of the electoral process on Wednesday after defeating nine other aspirants in the race.

The former Accountant-General of the state gathered 721 votes out of 980 votes cast during the governorship primary.

The former Commissioner of Finance in the state, Isaac Kamalu had 89 votes to come second in the electoral process.

There are claims that Fubara is the preferred candidate of the state Governor, Nyesom Wike.

This is coming days after the Economic Financial Crimes Commission announced that it is in search of the Rivers State Accountant-General, Fubara alongside 54 others.

Fubara and 58 other persons have been declared wanted over alleged N435 billion fraud.

Wilson Uwujaren, the commission’s head of media and publicity, announced the development on Tuesday, May 24.

Uwujaren alerted the public to help the EFCC with useful information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.
