Tinubu Visits Buhari After APC Presidential Primaries [Photos]

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday night paid a thank-you-visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Naija News reports that the APC flagbearer was at the Presidential Villa to thank President Buhari for allowing a free and fair APC Presidential primary election held on Tuesday and Wednesday at Eagle Square in Abuja.

Those who accompanied Tinubu on the visit were Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and his younger brother/ OANDO Chief Executive Officer, Wale Tinubu.

Recall that the former Governor of Lagos State defeated 13 other presidential hopefuls to emerge as the candidate of the ruling party.

Tinubu polled 1,271 votes to beat the likes of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who scored 235 votes, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi who garnered 316 votes, and Senate President Ahmed Lawan who got 152 votes.

Other contestants included Senator Rochas Okorocha; Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi; Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State; immediate past Minister of Science and Technology; Ogbonnaya Onu; former Senate President Ken Nnamani, Pastor Tunde Bakare and Tein Jack-Rich.
