TikTok Bans Liberian Content Creator Who Posted That Kiki Osinbajo Was Arrested UK

Social media platform, TikTok has banned the Liberian content creator who posted unconfirmed news about the daughter of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Kiki Osinbajo.

Naija News reports that checks on the page on the social media platform on Saturday revealed that the account identified as @Realcharley22 was no longer on TikTok.

Speculations are that the Liberian content creator might have been banned for spreading fake news about the daughter of the vice president.

The TikTok influencer was reported to have posted on Wednesday photos and videos to support her claim that Kiki Osibanjo was arrested in the United Kingdom for possession of a large amount of money in dollars.

TikTok’s reaction might have followed the reporting of her account by several Nigerians that the page was peddling false news to deceive the public.

This is even after he apologised saying his source confused the lady in the video for Kiki.

He also said “I want to apologise to Kiki Osinbajo because she never got arrested. The story is not true and my source deceived me and took someone else as Kiki.

“I want to make a disclaimer on the video I posted earlier, I am so sorry, my followers and Kiki Osinbajo, she never got arrested.

“Popular Nigerian blogger, Tunde Ednut just confirmed on Instagram that it is false, Kiki never got arrested. He asked me to take down the story and it is confirmed that the story is false.”

Meanwhile, Naija News had reported earlier that the presidency has clarified the reports alleging that Kiki Osinbajo was arrested in London.

Speaking about the incident, an authoritative source in the Presidential Villa confirmed that Kiki Osinbajo flew into Abuja with her father on Tuesday when the vice president was returning from the UN World Tourism Organisation’s Global Tourism Conference in Lagos.

The source said Kiki Osinbajo was in Abuja when a viral report alleged that she was arrested in London.
