Simon Ekpa Accuses Nigerian Govt Of Persecution, Targets Biafra Freedom By 2023

Kanu: Simon Ekpa Dares Nigerian Govt, Targets Biafra Freedom By 2023

A self-acclaimed disciple of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa has declared that Biafra will soon be a reality.

He said the agitators are not giving up on securing their independence from Nigeria in the shortest possible time, with a target of 2023.

This is as Ekpa also announced the activation of the Biafra Government In Exile (BGIE) which he said will work towards the total freedom and liberty of the Biafra people.

He made the assertion in a statement Tuesday shared via his Twitter handle.

According to him, Biafra “is ready to be free from ‘the British’ and her lower ‘Niger Company’ otherwise known as Nigeria.”

He added that other things to be done by the government are: “Represent the Sovereignty and Interests of Biafra throughout the world;

“Engage in international relationships and diplomacy with Governments, States, Nations and Organizations;

“Organize for the security of the peoples, properties and land of Biafrans;

“Obtain diplomatic recognition for the Sovereign State of Biafra;

“Organize the negotiation of trade and other economic activities on behalf of the peoples of Biafra.”

The statement said they are working towards securing Biafra freedom by 2023 and appealed to the international community to assist them while accusing the Nigerian government of persecution.

“The long persecuted peoples of Biafra in their struggle for Freedom, Liberty and Self-Determination”.

“We wish to re-affirm our total commitments to making sure that the sovereign state of Biafra is fully restored in 2023.

“Our freedom cannot be traded for anything else, not for the illusionary Igbo Presidency, not for Mr. Peter Obi’s social media jamboree. It will be a total freedom from Nigeria,” he added.

Meanwhile, IPOB had previously disowned Ekpa, saying the Finland-based agitator is no longer their member and can’t speak for the group or on behalf of Nnamdi Kanu.
