Shehu Sani Lists Eight Things Buhari’s Successor Must Do

Former Kaduna Central Senator and cheiftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Shehu Sani has revealed eight things the next President must do.

Naija News reports that the Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, will be hoping to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

While the likes of Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and others would be hoping to take power from the ruling party.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter page on Wednesday, Senator Sani said the next Nigerian leader must combat terrorism, fix the economy, unite the nation, fix the power sector, service the country’s debt, among others.

He wrote: “Eight to-do list for Nigeria’s next president.

1. Combatting Terrorism.
2: Fixing the Economy.
3: Uniting the country.
4: Fixing power.
5: Servicing Debt.
6: Public universities issues.
7: Petroleum subsidy issues.
8: Restructuring.”

Meanhwile, newspaper columnist, Farooq Kperogi has tackled the APC Presidential candidate for allegedly not participating in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

In a lengthy post via his Facebook page on Wednesday, Kperogi wondered why the former Lagos Governor failed to participate in the NYSC programme even when he was eligible to do so.

The media scholar stated that Tinubu was below 30 years at the time he graduated from Chicago State University and refused to serve his fatherland.

Kperogi opined that people who are questioning Tinubu’s university degree are asking the wrong question, rather they should be asking why the APC presidential candidate did not take part in the NYSC scheme.
