Seyi Vibez: “I’m Olamide Badoo Jr. and I don’t need a record label. I warn those who dislike me.” (Video)

Fast-rising singer, Seyi Vibez, has sent a stern warning to his fellow rappers, drawing a comparison between himself and the successful artist Olamide, who made it big without the support of a record label.

Taking to his Instagram story on Monday, Seyi Vibez expressed his thoughts, seemingly addressing someone in particular. He emphasized his independence in the music industry and proclaimed that he doesn’t require the assistance of a record label to achieve success. In his statement, he even referred to himself as “Olamide Badoo Jr.”

Using the Yoruba language, Seyi Vibez asserted, “I didn’t say you shouldn’t drop the statement. There is loads of music on the ground; that’s normal. I am on my own.” To further emphasize his point, he shared lyrics from one of Olamide’s songs that highlight the Nigerian artist’s ability to thrive without the backing of a record label.

Promoting his latest song, ‘Hatrick,’ in another Instagram story post, Seyi Vibez wrote in Yoruba, “You’re dead if you don’t like me.” It is evident that he wants to make it clear that he is not to be underestimated or taken lightly.
