Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, has been released on bail from the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Lagos.
Recall that Seun was detained by the police for allegedly assaulting a police officer some days ago on Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
However, Kuti’s lawyers in a statement had earlier noted that he would be released on bail as ordered by the Magistrate.
The development was confirmed by his attorney, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, SAN, in a telephone interview with The Punch.
“Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago,” he said.
A video of the singer outside the center was also shared online with fans and friends jubilating his release.
