Rivers United have to manage fatigue – Eguma

Rivers United manager, Stanley Eguma admitted the team is now fatigued due to their busy schedule in the Nigeria Premier Football League and CAF Confederation Cup.

The NPFL champions laboured to a 1-1 draw against Abia Warriors at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, on Sunday.

The Pride of Rivers trailed to Nweke Kalu’s first-half opener.

Morice Chukwu equalised for the home side from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time.

“It’s a game of football, we ended up playing 1-1. It was a fair one though a difficult match for us,” the Rivers United coach said.

“The wear and tear of the fixtures is telling on us. You see the way we play, we didn’t play at our normal game.”

Rivers United are away to Lobi Stars on Wednesday.
