Remo Stars Goalkeeper credit Defenders for Safe hand Award

Bankole in a chat with brila.net heaped praises on his defenders for the protection they offered all season.

The Super Eagles invitee had the most clean sheets in the 2023 abridged NPFL season.

He recorded nine clean sheet in seventeen appearances, and has grown to be one of the best in the league.

“I’m happy with my development, but the clean sheet is not about me alone. The defenders and the whole team worked hard to to deny opponents chances to score.

“I’m lucky to have them in front of me. I won’t take the credit alone, because we are a team,” said Bankole.

Kayode Bankole has one clean sheet more than Amas Obasogie of Bendel Insurance and Akwa United’s Jean Efala, with Mustapha Lawal and Emmanuel Daniel coming next with seven clean sheets each.
