Pulse of the Day Gist: Arsenal have signed one of the best creative midfielders in Fabio Vieira

€5m of that deal is reserved for performance-related add-ons and I believe Arsenal fans will have no problems with the youngster.

Here is the drill, those who know me know that I am a huge fan of the brilliant simulation game, football manager, where Arsenal’s latest acquisition has proved to be one of the best players in my save.

Currently, the 22-year-old has been a mainstay in my team, where I used him as the main creator in a 4-3-1-2 formation.

One thing the Gunners and their fans can expect to see from the playmaker is his brilliance on the ball.

As you can see from the image below, most of his standout attributes are on the ball, with current technical, mental and physical numbers at a very good rate.

Below, take a look at some of Vieira’s attributes after three seasons at my Manchester United team. Of course, if you have followed my FM journey, you will understand why Vieira is one talent I asked my followers to keep a tab on.

In real life, Vieira also played a key role as FC Porto won the Portuguese league title. In 27 matches, he scored six (6) goals and provided 14 assists.

The youngster averaged 1.3 key passes and 0.8 dribbles per game. While the numbers look normal, they clearly show the type of players Gunners can expect to see on the pitch – a youngster with a clear ability to unlock defences with his trickery and the potential to be better than he is.

Now, to another transfer gist

  • Elsewhere, Youri Youri Arsenal

Mikel Arteta’s first foray into the market has been the successful signing of Vieira and the Arsenal boss is set to invade fellow Premier League side, Leicester City, for his next target.

The Gunners have their eyes set on Belgian midfielder, Youri Tielemanns and are expected to switch attention to him after Vieira’s transfer.

  • Manchester City are not done in the transfer market,

After the signing of Erling Haaland, Premier League champions Manchester City will strengthen their already solid squad with Kalvin Phillips and Marc Cucurela the latest targets.

Phillips, one of my favourite midfielders since he was in the championship, is seen as the right man to replace City legend Fernandinho. City are expected to make a £50m bid to prise him away from Leeds United.

Also, I am certain that City’s interest in former Barcelona star, Marc Cucurela, has everything to do with his involvement in that demolition of neighbours Manchester City by Brighton and of course, his versatility.
