The official rate today, Wednesday, 22nd June, 2022, for £1 pound to naira = ₦509.306/£1.

According to the data from the CBN, exchange rate between the naira and the British pounds opened at ₦509.306/£1 on Wednesday June 22nd, after it sold at 509.055 to a £1 on Tuesday, 21st June 2022.

Naija News reports that a pound is bought at the official market at ₦508.6926 and sold for ₦509.9194.

How much is exchange rate of Pounds to Naira in Black Market today?

The exchange rate for a pound to naira at Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market) – Pounds exchaged for as low as ₦740 and as high as ₦760 on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, according to sources at Bureau De Change (BDC).

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said the Federal Government’s expenditure on pensions and gratuity fell slightly by N3.48bn in 2021.

Naija News reports that the apex bank revealed this in its data on ‘Federal Government recurrent expenditure’ on its website.

According to figures obtained from the CBN, the amount spent fell from N359.6bn in 2020 to N356.12bn in the 2021 financial year.

Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) in charge of the Defined Benefits Scheme under the Federal Government, had earlier said it inherited pension liabilities totalling N129.48bn.
