The Police in Ondo State has denied media reviews that gunmen kidnapped a pair on Monday night in Akure, the state capital.
Funmilayo Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) within the state made the denial in an interview with NAN on Tuesday in Akure.
Media reviews had claimed that the couple was kidnapped and the husband discovered useless at Odiolowo space of Akure.
Odunlami, nevertheless, defined that the sufferer was a safety man, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver, including that the sufferer’s spouse had reported the case on the police station.
”It was a case of hit and run accident and the person concerned is a safety man in his late 60s or so.
“The spouse of the sufferer simply left our workplace not fairly lengthy, so, there isn’t a incident of the kidnap of a pair wherever in Ondo State.
