The current Afrobeats craze on TikTok, KU LO SA (Closer), is swiftly spreading throughout the world as the Afrobeats summer song.

With the viral song “Ku Lo Sa,” Oxlade stakes his claim in a year that has seen significant young Nigerian talents like Rema and Fireboy DML push African music to new global heights.

The head-spinning Afro-tune was Oxlade’s most recent creation in association with the German design firm COLORS Studios.

This was all unexpected for Oxlade, but he is grateful and eager to share what he has in store, the music he thinks represents the greatest representation of Oxlade to his expanding fan base.

Earlier this month American singer-songwriter acknowledged on stage that he is also experiencing the Afrobeats surge.

The 25-year-old debuted the calming song on a Colors program, and the performance was posted on the COLORS Youtube account on June 10.

The Yoruba term “Ku Lo Sa,” which is akin to the English word “closer,” was Oxlade’s third release of the year and the follow-up to the previously released “Want You” single.

As of September 16th, 2022, the number-one song, which has evolved into a Tik-Tok challenge, has received a whooping one million and 300 shazam’s, making it the most-shamed song in France.

The West African area, the continent, and the entire world continue to be affected by the hits that the Nigerian music scene continues to produce, this year has continued the country’s prolific musical output trend
