Osimhen targets plenty goals against Guinea Bissau

Victor Osimhen says he’s is ready to give his best when the Super Eagles face Guinea-Bissau on Friday in Abuja.

Osimhen joined his teammates in Abuja camp on Tuesday night and observed his first training session with the team on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old Napoli topman is expected to lead the onslaught against Djurtus in the two games, starting with Friday’s encounter in Abuja.

“We’re very confident that we have very good players. So, I won’t promise anything, but I know that we will give our hundred per cent to try and win this game, and we’ll do our best.”

“We are preparing to make sure that we do everything we can. So, we are going into the game feeling confident. So, I trust my players, I trust my team and trust Nigeria that we’ll be able to get that result.” Osimhen said in Wednesday’s news conference.

Osimhen is arguably in the best period of his career, scoring regularly for his Italian Serie A side SS Napoli in the league and Champions.

“Hopefully, I can get a lot of goals for the team, as much as I can, when I get the opportunities. But then, even though I do not get this, I want the team to win, I want us to have these three points, because it is important for us in our campaign, and I’m really looking forward to it,” Osimhen said.

The reverse fixture holds on March 27 in Bissau.
