Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has reacted to the logistic support offered to the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his counterpart in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwasom by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.

Naija News recalls that Wike, during the commissioning of the Ikoku flyover in Port Harcourt last week Thursday, pledged to provide Obi with logistics support whenever he plans to campaign in Rivers.

He had said: “Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you.

“I know you as a person, you have all the criteria, you have all the characteristics to lead this country, you have it. Nobody can deny that.”

Wike made a similar promise to Kwankwaso during the inauguration of the Mgbutanwo internal roads in the Emohua Local Government Area of Port Harcourt on Monday.

He had said: “I have known you and I know you are a man of integrity so I want to say that whenever you want to campaign in Rivers State, I will provide you with all your logistics, just let me know when you want to come.”

Reacting to the development in a tweet via his Twitter page on Monday, Omokri mocked Obi supporters popularly known as ‘Obidients’ for celebrating Wike’s promise of ‘logistical support’ to their principal as an endorsement.

He claimed that the support offered to the two flagbearers was the Rivers governor’s way of saying they will suffer defeat in the 2023 presidential election and he would help them lose.

“I hope Obidients, who were celebrating Wike’s promise of ‘logistical support’ to Obi as an endorsement, heard what Wike told Kwankwaso yesterday. He gave the same promise of ‘logistical support’. Another way of saying ‘you will lose’ so I will help you lose well! #TableShaker,” Omokri wrote.
