President Muhammadu Buhari has asserted that Nigeria’s future rests on its involvement in science and expertise.
Buhari stated Nigeria’s energetic participation in science and expertise would decide its survival within the nearest future.
The President made the assertion when he conferred the Nigerian Nationwide Order of Benefit (NNOM) Award for years 2020 and 2021 on three distinguished Nigerians within the area of medication and science, on the State Home Abuja on Tuesday.
The recipients had been Dr Oluyinka Olurotimi Olutoye, Medication (2020); the late Professor Charles Ejike Chidume, Science (2020) and Professor Godwin O. Samuel Ekhaguere, Science (2021).
Talking on the occasion, the President famous that Nigeria would proceed to rejoice the students’ achievements.
Buhari urged the upcoming youths to emulate the achievements and shining examples of the award recipients.
“Please endeavour, always, to function beacons of hope and aspiration for the youthful era of Nigerians.
“Our survival and collective future as a nation finally rests on our being energetic contributors in world developmental efforts, particularly in science and expertise,” Buhari stated. NAIJATABLOID
