Nigerians and music lovers have applauded afrobeat singer Davido for taking a step further to redefine his song for the first time in ten years of being in the music industry.
Davido’s news song ‘Stand Strong’ which features the American choir, The Sample, is more of a personal song and a reflection of his life.
In the gospel-like song, Davido brags about his 30BG gang, who are always there for him in every situation.
Davido added that no pleasure comes from pain, but from God, which is the reason he keeps standing strong despite the hatred he faces from people.
Considering the recent pressure in the music industry many Nigerians have showered accolades on Davido for the deviation from his usual songs that makes people dance as the new song comes with certain reflection.
Other netizens also affirmed that Davido did a good job because it can’t be compared to his usual genre of music.
