Nigeria Immigration Probes Ike Ekweremadu’s Organ Harvesting Scandal

Enugu: Ekweremadu Jettisons Governorship Ambition, To Announce Next Move

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) says it has commenced an investigation into the authenticity of the passport obtained by Nwamini David.

Naija News reports that David, who claimed to be a 15-year-old, was allegedly trafficked to the United Kingdom for organ harvest by a former Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife, Beatrice.

Speaking to The PUNCH on Saturday, the acting Comptroller-General of Immigration, Idris Jere, said NIS is probing allegations that the travel document may have been fraudulently procured.

Jere said the service was investigating the passport and would soon make its findings known to the public.

“We are investigating the passport and the issues surrounding it. We will come out with our findings soon,” Jere stated.

Naija News reports that a trending picture of David’s passport indicates that he was born on October 12, 2000. This means he is 21 years old, contrary to what prosecutors told a British court on Friday.

The passport with number B00569974 was issued in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on November 5, 2021, and would expire on November 4, 2026.
