Nasarawa Governor Vows To Accept Outcome Of Today’s Election

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, said that he would accept the outcome of the ongoing governorship election in the state.

Abdullahi Sule who was voted into power in 2019 is seeking re-election in the March 18 governorship election.

After casting his vote at Gudi, Motor pack polling unit 02 on Saturday, the incumbent governor expressed satisfaction with the preparations made by INEC, including the deployment of security officials to ensure the safety of voters.

Speaking further, the incumbent governor said he and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) are willing to accept the outcome of the election.

He cited a recent instance when the APC lost the presidential election in Nasarawa State by a margin of 19,000 votes but didn’t agitate against it.


The Governor, however, stated that he is committed to ensuring an adjustment is done in areas where the party underperformed and said that the will of the people is essential and should always be respected.
