You Have To Be Firm When Dealing With Buhari – Tinubu Advises Chiefs

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress Bola Ahmed Tinubu has advised Lagos chiefs on how to act when they need something from president Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking to the chiefs after winning the ruling party’s presidential ticket, Tinubu explained that one has to be firm when dealing with the president adding that being flippant and unserious would lead to nowhere.

He stated further that it was his time to lead Nigeria and urged the chiefs to prepare for election.

2023: Peter Obi Is The Presidential Candidate To Beat – Umeh

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Senator Victor Umeh said that the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, is the candidate to beat in the 2023 presidential election.
The former Anambra Central Senator stated this during a media chat with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, in Awka, on Tuesday.

Umeh asserted that Obi is the best candidate in the presidential race, adding that the former governor is a revolution and a force to be reckoned with.

He said that Nigerians now see the former governor as the alternative to Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

2023: PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Raises Team To Woo Wike

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has set up a committee to reach out to the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and other aggressive members of the party.

Governor Wike has remained silent since the former Vice President decided to pick the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.

Atiku in his plan to win the 2023 presidential election set up the committee to woo the aggrieved members to come on board.

Wike’s silence in the affairs of the party has seen two of his allies, a former minister of Niger Delta, Godsday Orubebe and an ex-commissioner in Edo State, Kassim Afegbua dump the PDP on Tuesday.

A chieftain of the party who spoke on condition of anonymity with Punch on the developing issue made this known.

Voting-Buying Allegation: Oyetola And His Team Specialise In Misinformation – PDP

The Governorship Campaign Council of Senator Ademola Adeleke has reacted to the call by the All Progressives Congress in Osun for a probe of Adeleke over an alleged vote-buying agenda.

Recall that the Director-General of the Oyetola Campaign organisation, Senator Ajibola Basiru on Monday charged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to investigate the governorship candidate of PDP, Adeleke over alleged vote-buying.

PDP in its reaction to the statement of the lawmaker accused the APC of trying to cover up the failure of the state governor, Gboyega Oyetola.

The spokesman of Adeleke Campaign Organisation, Diran Odeyemi in a statement released on Tuesday said the PDP governorship candidate never boasted or mentioned plans to buy votes.

APC Sets Up 86-Member Campaign Council For 2022 Osun Governorship Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up an 86-member campaign council to lead the party’s campaign strategy and activities for the 2022 governorship election in Osun State.

This was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday signed by the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and its National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore.

The council made up of strategic members of the party, is headed by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as chairman while Mallam Aliyu Ahmed will serve as the secretary.

The campaign council will be inaugurated on Thursday, June 23 by 2 pm at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja, Naija News reports.

Wike’s Loyalist Replies Babangida Aliyu Over Talkative Comment

A former Commissioner of Information and Communication in Rivers State, Ogbonna Nwuke has condemned a former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu for describing Governor Nyesom Wike as a talkative.

Recall that Aliyu in an interview on Channels TV on Tuesday had claimed that the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar did not pick Wike because of the way he talks.

Nwuke in his reaction said Aliyu does not understand the difference between politicking and administration.
