Ahead of the 2023 general election, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has appointed Abdulmumin Jibrin and Ladipo Johnson as his campaign council spokespersons.

Naija News reports that the former Kano State governor made this known in a statement by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Adam.

According to Kwankwaso, he appointed Jibrin and Johnson as spokespersons based on their high level of networking and in-depth understanding of the Nitty-Gritty of communication.

He said the two newly appointed campaign council spokespersons have what it takes to bring about a new Nigeria.

The statement reads: “His Excellency Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso PhD, FNSE, the Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has approved the appointment of Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, PhD and Barr. Ladipo Johnson as the spokespersons of his campaign.

“Dr Jibrin is a former ranking member of the House of Representatives with extensive experience in campaign management and Public Affairs.

“An astute politician and consummate mobilizer, Jibrin holds a BSc, MSc and PhD from the University of Abuja and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with majors in politics, diplomacy and International Affairs. He also completed programs on negotiation, decision making, strategy and marketing from the Harvard and European Institute of Business Administration INSEAD France.

“Barr. Ladipo Johnson is a Barrister in Law, Managing Partner at Agbese & Johnson (Legal Consultants) and also the president of the African Institute of Enterprise Development and Management. A renowned public affairs analyst and a former Gubernatorial and House of Representative Candidate in Lagos State, Barr. “The duo are chosen because of their wealth of experience in strategic communication, their commitment to the NNPP, their extensive network and reach as well as their belief in our shared conviction that a New and Better Nigeria is possible if we work together with sincerity, tolerance, competence, and faith.

“While appreciating the new Spokespersons for accepting to continue to serve the movement and the country in their new roles, Sen. Kwankwaso congratulates them and urges them to take the message of the NNPP and the RMK2023 Campaign to every nook and corner of the country – viz. that Nigeria will be saved from the current drift, and an NNPP government will create a new Nigeria where justice, equity, fairness, unity, security and development are guaranteed.”
