Kperogi Speaks On Peter Obi’s Meeting With Wike

Controversial media scholar, Farooq Kperogi has reacted to the meeting between Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

Naija News earlier reported that Obi paid a visit to Wike at his private residence in Port Harcourt before meeting behind closed doors.

There have been speculations that the Rivers governor is plotting an exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) since former Vice President Atiku Abubakar decided to pick the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.

The Rivers governor has remained silent on the affairs of the party that has seen two of his allies, a former minister of Niger Delta, Godsday Orubebe and an ex-commissioner in Edo State, Kassim Afegbua dump the PDP on Tuesday.

It is however unclear why the former Anambra governor visited the Rivers state governor but it may be connected to the 2023 Presidential elections.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Kperogi stated that an alliance is being secretly planned following the meeting between Wike and Obi.

The media scholar stated that the unusual silence of Wike after losing the PDP  presidential primary to Atiku and being passed over for the running mate is suspicious.

He stated that the PDP and Atiku should watch out following the meeting between Obi and Wike.

Wike is a compulsive chatterbox who can’t help clowning and talking nineteen to the dozen. But the chatterbox has been unnaturally quiet lately after losing the PDP primary to Atiku and being passed over for VP. Some silences are too loud to be ignored. Something is cooking!

“He just met with Obi in Port Harcourt. Atiku and PDP should watch out!” he wrote.
