JAMB: List Of Foreign Countries Approved For 2022 UTME

Having successfully conducted examinations for home candidates, the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, JAMB, has commenced examinations for foreign candidates, Naija News reports.

The Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary-level institutions had just released its 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results on its official website for check and printing.

A total of 1,761,338 candidates are said to have registered for the exercise this year. Naija News recalls that the 2022 UTME exercise was conducted across the country from Friday, May 6 to Friday, May 13.

While a total of 1,707,626 only sat for the examination, only 1,671,203 results were released. This is as the board said it withheld the results of some candidates.

More also, JAMB said it withheld 27,105 undergoing further screening while 1,783 candidates with biometric challenges are being investigated.

Following the release of home-based candidate results, JAMB on Saturday commenced the 2022 UTME for foreign candidates.

See below the list of countries approved to conduct UTME for foreign candidates:

  • Accra, Ghana; Johannesburg, South Africa; Buea, Cameroon; Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivoire; Cotonou, Benin Republic.

Meanwhile, the 2022 UTME will be held in Berlin, Germany; London, United Kingdom; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; New York, United States in due course, JAMB confirmed in its weekly bulletin.

Naija News understands that the examination was designed for candidates who indicated interest to attend Nigerian tertiary institutions.
