IGP Meets With CPs, Review Elections

Police Send Message To Tinubu, Atiku, Others Over Ongoing Election

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, is set to meet with Commissioners of police and others in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Naija News gathered that the meeting will be held at the Goodluck Jonathan Peace Keeping Center.

The meeting is being attended by Deputy Inspectors General of Police(DIGs), Assistants Inspectors General of Police(AIGs), police management teams and top police officers.

Top on the agenda for the conference includes an interactive session with the press, IGP’s lecture, general election reviews, electoral offences recorded, and misconduct of police personnel among other crucial matters.

This is coming after the governorship election was held across twenty-eight states in the country on the 18th of March, 2023.

Police Ban Protests In Nasarawa, Warn Parents

The Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has warned and banned citizens from staging protests across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.

On Sunday, a statement made available to journalists by the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, in Lafia noted that the decision became necessary to forestall the breakdown of law and order in the state.


The force also urged parents and guardians to warn their wards to avoid lawlessness and uncultured behaviours.
