‘He Has Openly Declared War On Atiku’ – Ex-Lawmaker Knocks Wike For Humiliating Former Governor, Deputy Speaker
A former lawmaker, Senator Lee Maeba has lambasted Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for working against the presidential ambition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)...

A lawmaker in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Solomon Bob has alleged what led to the rift between the Governor of the State, Nyesom Wike and the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

Bob while speaking on Channels TV on Monday said disinformation led to a clash between the former Vice President and Wike.

According to the lawmaker, disinformation released by Atiku’s men before and after the presidential primary of the party led to the crisis in the party.

Bob further stated that claims that Governor Wike is not pleased with the outcome of the PDP’s presidential primary and also wanted to be Atiku’s running mate are all lies.

He further stated that such lies were released to, “pull down Wike and elevate the candidate, who already has a huge profile and an election to win.”

Bon noted that the issue in the main opposition party wouldn’t have gotten worse if Atiku’s men did not spread lies and comments against Wike.

He said, “Reports that he (Wike) is aggrieved with the party and was not picked as running mate is false.

“The governor never wanted to be running mate to Atiku.

“He never asked for it and never lobbied for it. That is the truth they won’t tell you. It was like a deliberate attempt to demystify and denigrate him.”

Bob added that Governor Wike wanted to be Nigeria’s President in 2023 because he has a workable plan of action for the country.

The lawmaker who blamed some chieftains of the party for spreading lies said, “Atiku’s front men were all over the place making all kinds of derogatory comments, I found some of these things offensive and appalling.”
