NFF: Gusau Hints Nigerians On His Next Step

The newly elected President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has pledged to welcome new ideas.

He vowed to lead an inclusive government where all interested parties are invited to offer thoughts and recommendations on how to handle difficult problems.

Gusau noted that sports administration requires wisdom and would be ready to listen to anyone who has the ideal to handle difficult situations at hand.

Gusau said: “We will run an inclusive administration in which ideas and advice will be welcome from all quarters, and will be guided in our resolutions.

“It is very important to resuscitate the League and engender a massive football economy from which every stakeholder can benefit and also be happy to contribute to its growth.”

Gusau, who served as the Confederation of African Football’s Safety and Security Officer, was a member of the organising committee for the African Nations Championship and is currently a member of the CAF organising committee for youth competitions such as the U17, U20, and U23 levels.

The Amaju Pinnick Administration’s Chairman of the Chairmen stated that he would focus on the welfare of the players and officials in order to motivate them to excel at important tournaments and win trophies.

It is important to prioritize grassroots football and youth development, and that we will take to heart. It is also important to win trophies, and both can go side-by-side. Winning trophies is good for our country’s image in the international sphere and also helps to motivate the upcoming stars at the grassroots level.” he said.
