Gov Wike, Others Meet In Enugu, Consider Options

Atiku: Details Emerge As Wike, Makinde, Ugwuanyi, Ikpeazu, Ortom Meet In Benue

The five aggrieved Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) identified as the G-5 are currently in a meeting in Enugu State.

Their meeting is coming days after the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike admitted that they are open for reconciliation.

Wike after meeting with the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed on Wednesday called for fairness, equity and justice in the party as a means of reconciliation.

The aggrieved Governors had vowed not to work for the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar due to northern dominance in key positions in the party.

The development saw the Governors call for the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu.

Naija News learnt that Seyi Makinde (Oyo State), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State), Samuel Ortom (Benue State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State) and Wike are meeting to deliberate on the 2023 elections.

The Governor of Enugu State received the aggrieved Governors at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport and they all moved to the Government House for the meeting.

As of the time of filing this report, the Governors are yet to release the detail of their meeting.

Meanwhile, a source at the meeting that spoke with Leadership disclosed that the PDP Governors are thinking of more options available to them

The source said, “You know that the G-5 governors are not happy that Atiku is ignoring them and feeling on top of the world, so they are looking for options and they are deliberating on the next line of action.”
