FUD VC warns students against cultism, immoral conducts

Students of the Federal University, Dutse, FUD, have been warmed to shun away any act of immoral conducts and criminal activities.

Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Abdulkarem Sabo Muhammed made the warning on Saturday at the 10th Matriculation ceremony of the University.

He said the the 2020/2021 admission session was particularly challenging due to the anxiety parents and their children have because of the long wait for the admission after they wrote the JAMB exams earlier last year due to COVID-19 lockdown.

He explained that the university received applications from over 20,153 candidates in 2020, out of which, only 4290 students were admitted.

The Vice Chancellor congratulate the new students for being lucky despite the competitiveness nature of the admission.

He, however, advised the students to face their studies and stay away from examination malpractices, drugs abuse, cultism, indecent dressing and other social vices.

The VC noted that the university shall deal decisively with anyone found violating the rules and regulations governing the institution.(Dailypost)
