Flying Eagles to camp in Morocco for U20 AFCON

The Flying Eagles will camp in Morocco for the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.

Brila.net understands that coach Ladan Bosso settled for Morocco due to the closeness to Egypt where the tournament will be played.

There was also the choice of Spain, but the Nigeria Football Federation reportedly ruled on it, as the board aims to avoid excessive spending.

The Flying Eagles resumed training camp in Abuja this week and they are expected to proceed to the Morocco camp by the end of the month.

Bosso already has his final 21-man squad for the tournament, which will also serve as qualifiers for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia later in the year.

The Flying Eagles will face Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique in the first Group phase of the tournament.

The U20 Africa Cup of Nations starts in Cairo on February 19.
