EPL: Man United players complain about ‘wasteful’ top midfielder, say Maguire not good enough

Manchester United’s players have voiced their concerns over midfielder Bruno Fernandes’ wastefulness in possession throughout the just concluded season.

The Red Devils had a miserable season, which lasted from the start to finish, ending with a disappointing 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace on the closing day.

New manager, Erik ten Hag, has started his job at the club and is expected to embark on a huge summer rebuild in order to get the club back on track.

Many players struggled to show any signs of improvement under outgoing interim boss, Ralf Rangnick.

Manchester Evening News reports that members of United’s squad consider Fernandes’ inconsistent distribution during matches ‘a problem’.

The Portuguese managed 10 goals and registered six assists in the Premier League this season which was a significant drop from the 18 goals and 12 assists during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign last term.

According to the report, one member of the Manchester United squad also allegedly claimed that captain Harry Maguire is ‘not good enough’
