EPL: He’s our team’s engine – Casemiro names Man Utd’s most important player

Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro has named teammate Bruno Fernandes as one of the team’s most important players.

Casemiro also described Fernandes as a fantastic player, adding that he is the team’s engine.

The Brazilian spoke while opening up on his relationship with the Portugal international ahead of Man United’s FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday evening.

“We could spend all day talking about how good Bruno [Fernandes] is because he is a fantastic player,” Casemiro said (via The Athletic).

“But to be honest – and I say this to him – I expect a great deal from him because, in my eyes, he is one of the most important players in the team.”

He added, “Behind the scenes too, sometimes we’ll say to each other, ‘You could have scored; you could have done better here because you’ve got the quality to do it.”

“It is a pleasure to play alongside him because, in the end, he is the driving force of the team, the one that helps us the most. The team’s engine, if you like.”
