Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland has equaled Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry’s incredible record in the Premier League.
According to Squawka, Haaland’s assist during Manchester City’s Premier League 1-1 draw against Brighton on Wednesday night was his 44th goal involvement in the English top-flight league, having previously scored 36 goals and netted eight assists.
The tally is enough for him to match Henry’s, with the former France international setting the record during the 2002/2003 campaign.
Henry scored 24 goals and bagged an incredible 20 assists.
Haaland was also on target for Man City in what should have been the winner against Brighton but saw his goal chalked off after a VAR review.
The Norway international was responsible for Man City’s opener, scored by Phil Foden as he set up the England international for the goal.
Haaland now has an opportunity to break Henry’s record and set his own when Man City face Brentford on Sunday.
