EPL: Be patient, he’s under huge pressure – Frank begs Chelsea fan over big-money signing

Former French defender, Frank Leboeuf has told the fans of Chelsea football club to be patient with their new signing, Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Mudryk joined Chelsea in the winter transfer window and was one of their big-money acquisitions as he was expected to play a key role for the Blues.

Mudryk showed a flash of what he could do during his debut against Liverpool in January, but since then very little has been seen of the Ukrainian.

He was only able to start one of Chelsea’s last four games before the FIFA break and sat on the bench during the Blues’ last league outing against Everton.

But Leboeuf believed the 21-year-old would come around and urged Chelsea supporters to exercise patience with the club’s handling of Mudryk’s game time this season.

“I think it’s a very good idea to leave Mudryk out right now at least. It’s only fair for him to be protected by the coach, by us, by the media, and by the pundits.

“The fans should understand that the guy is going through hell right now being Ukrainian, seeing his family being in a war in his country. He is very young, it’s a big change for him, and a lot of money is spent on him.

“The guy has too much pressure,” he stated.
