Drama As NNPP Takes Back In Kano With Over 8000 Votes

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has regained its position at the top in the ongoing Kano State governorship election.

Naija News reports that the opposition party, which was in the lead when collation began on Sunday, lost marginally to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) before regaining the top spot.

Nasir Gawuna of the APC was leading with 444,537 votes while Abba Bichi Yusuf of the NNPP is trailing with 427,496 votes following the collation of results from Bichi Local Government Area of the state.

However, after the resumption of the collation of the 31st Local Government Area, the NNPP candidate is the leading gubernatorial candidate with a margin of 8,266 votes.


While Yusuf polled 592,503 votes, Gawuna of the APC secured 584,237 votes.
