Chelsea vs Fulham – Premier League: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction

A new-look Chelsea side will host London rivals Fulham in the Premier League on Friday evening.

The Blues have historically been the dominant force in this rivalry but come into this game two points and three places behind Fulham, who secured a 2-1 win when these two met at Craven Cottage just three weeks ago.

Since then, however, Chelsea have spent a penny or two to bolster their squad, so manager Graham Potter will demand an immediate improvement.

Here’s all you need to know about this one.

Chelsea team news

Enzo Fernandez arrived in London on Wednesday morning but isn’t ready to start in a midfield which is already missing the injured trio of N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Denis Zakaria. Jorginho left for Arsenal on Deadline Day, but there is some optimism that Mateo Kovacic could be fit enough to start.

Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and winger Raheem Sterling have both been injured as well, alongside Christian Pulisic, Wesley Fofana and Armando Broja. Hakim Ziyech may be left out after the comical collapse of his loan to PSG, and Joao Felix is still suspended.

There are hopes that Reece James could feature, although perhaps just from the bench, and the same goes for Ben Chilwell.

(3-4-2-1): Arrizabalaga; Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Badiashile; Azpilicueta, Chukwuemeka, Gallagher, Cucurella; Mount, Mudryk, Havertz

Fulham team news

Deadline Day signing Sasa Lukic is yet to obtain a visa to play in England and will likely miss this one as a result.

Neeskens Kebano is the only fitness worry for Fulham, who have bolstered in defence with the late arrival of Cedric Soares on loan from Arsenal.

(4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Diop, Ream, Robinson; Palhinha, Reed; De Cordova-Reid, Pereira, Willian; Mitrovic

Chelsea haven’t got all their new faces available just yet, but there should be enough fresh blood to avoid a repeat of their slip-up at Craven Cottage a few weeks ago.

Since that game, Fulham haven’t actually won, and while it’s premature to think their impressive form is over, there’s no denying that Silva’s side haven’t been able to maintain their levels over the past few games.

With the shift in dynamic since these two sides last met, it could be Chelsea who get the last laugh this time around.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Fulham
