Champions League: Haaland breaks records set by Messi, Mbappe as Man City win 7-0

Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland on Tuesday, became the youngest player to score 30 goals in the Champions League.

Haaland netted five goals as the Cityzens smashed RB Leipzig 7-0 at the Etihad.

The Norwegian’s third was his 30th in the competition, a tally he reached in just 25 matches and at 22 years and 236 days.

Kylian Mbappe previously held that record at 22 years and 352 days.

This places the pair way ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who got his 30 in 48 games.

The Norwegian has also become just the third player to score five goals in a single Champions League game, and broke City’s record for the most goals scored in a single season.
