CAFWCL: Simba Queens target dream win over Bayelsa Queens – Latest Sports News In Nigeria

Simba Queens want to cement their place as the third best team on the continent when they face off with Bayelsa Queens in the CAF Women’s Champions League third-place match on Saturday in Rabat.

Like Bayelsa Queens, Simba Queens suffered a 1-0 loss to holders Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday night, after their back-to-back wins over Determine Girls and Green Buffaloes.

Despite the set back, coach Charles Lukula has no disappointments but recounts lessons on his side’s first ever outing, while he is targeting to finish as the third-best team.

“We can be number three on Saturday. It is going to be the best of my coaching career and maybe this is a very big achievement because this is a very big competition, everyone should dream to come to a big competition and perform, for me I am putting my head up.

“I have learnt a lot, aside from not winning, because this is my first time in such a big competition, so I’ve learnt a lot and added on my experience.”

Victory for Bayelsa Queens will see them win their third game in the tournament and become only the second team from West Africa to win three games at the Finals along with Hasaacas Ladies in the 2021 edition.
